For our 200th release, we found the ultimate band in Kobe, Japan: GŪTARA KYŌ, which coincidentally roughly translates to "Crazy Slovenlies". Blaring this record brought us back to the first time we heard BAD BRAINS as teenagers, which sent blood rushing into the skull, pulsing & curdling in our adolescent disbelief & delight, the kind of sensation adults try to recreate by sniffing things into their noses. There is a youthful fury & hilarity in Matsumoto-san's Japanese hollerings, over a piercing skree from album start to finish which is at times almost painful on the eardrums. Somehow simultaneously harnessing the staggering garage punk exuberance of TEENGENERATE and the blistering hardcore urgency of LOS CRUDOS, perfect imperfection has been achieved on this immaculate 10-inch slab of filth. Previously only available as a CD on Bakudan (JP), now on Slovenly's Mondo Mongo imprint. Insert with lyrics translated to English by Greg Snazz. Mastered for vinyl by Tim Warren.

There is no gliding roller door on this filthy, raw, fuzzed out garage rock. And front man Andy "California" Macbain doesn't look like the canoe partner that would provide "Deliverance" from the Chattooga River. A double take to the cover to see if the blonde fox is using clothes line wires for guitar strings. Come in , pull up a paint tin chair & enjoy! Under produced garage filth at its best, Let's ROCK! Brian Chippendale of Lightning Bolt and Ty Segall form their own space force on this ultra chaotic and noisy LP as Wasted Shirt. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 23, 2020
Polish noise-crust outfit eschews the big Tragedy-esque riffs still popular with their US counterparts for scratchy claustrophobia. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 2, 2016
